The CCRB Foundation was established in 2012 and its mission was to develop and support junior golf programs at CCRB and in the community. It played a large role in financing the construction of the blue tees by selling tee distance markers, where members can either list their name or even list a special event at that tee, such as a hole in one there. Since then, the Foundation began selling these tee distance markers for all the tees, not just the blue tees. There are a few opportunities left to buy a distance marker on any tee that does not yet have one of these member sponsored ones. Some members support the Foundation through a recurring donation on their monthly bill. The Foundation also raises funds through its annual one week long Foundation All Tee Tournament.
Since its establishment in 2012, the Foundation's mission has expanded to also financially support members' other needs, such as donating to the purchase of golf course equipment, as well as other indoor needs and requests.
The Foundation also financially supports major CCRB tournaments, such as the Junior World, the Solutions for Change charity tournament, the ladies' Summer Classic and the men's Member/Guest.
As many members no longer itemize on their taxes, another way to support the Foundation financially is to donate directly to the Foundation from one's IRA or 401K annual minimum required distribution. These donations avoid income tax and count toward the minimum distribution required of folks 70 and a half years or older.
